Summer Cleaning Due Today

Hey guys. As you may or may not have known, I've been lazy with my summer cleaning and decided to give myself a deadline, but between work, errands, and the larp, I haven't been at it much. So today should hopefully at least get me to do most of my summer cleaning tasks.

I didn't even end up doing anything yesterday so I really need to pick up my act.

I think that's it for now, I don't have much else interesting to say.

Dirty Room

Hey guys. Yesterday didn't go over so well with getting things done. I didn't even finish cleaning my room. Though I did get close to at least plow through the major clutter so somethings like Summer Cleaning should be easier and cleaning my room next week should be easier. And I don't have work tomorrow and I work the evening shift today so I am going to try and get the Summer Cleaning done since Friday is my deadline.

I should probably get to my list, I don't have much else to say.

Need More Titles.

Hey guys. Yesterday didn't go over so well. I had every attention of posting on this blog yesterday only to discover I'm desperately running out of titles on what is normally a very routine day. I'll have to come up with some more swappable words. As it is, me and my sister are scheduled many hours in between each other, so I'll probably be out all day. Once I pick up my mom's gift for her birthday tomorrow, I'll basically have a choice of, go home, do stuff, come back for my sister, go somewhere else to do stuff, or go into the theme park. I guess it'll also depend on whether or not I finish cleaning my room before I leave.

I now officially have off for the next Knight Realms event. So now I got to get preparing for that. Getting more granola bars, adjusting my costume, making gypsy scale mail, making something worth selling In Game.

I think that is everything for now. If I am going to clean my room, I had better get to it since it's almost 9:30 and I got to leave in 45 minuets.

LARP Return

Hey guys. As you know last weekend was the LARP. Just so you know I spent most of Friday morning/afternoon rushing the rest of my costume and I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. So I'll be spending some of the next few weekends before next weekend doing one of 3 things. 1) Finishing that costume to my satisfaction. 2) Making what someone thought of, gypsy scale mail, jingilies tied to scale mail. I need it after getting one shotted. 3) Making something with my new tailoring skill to sell so my character can afford to eat and other things.

Well, after a long and fun weekend at the LARP. I am getting a head start for the procrastination and to do list. Technically it's not even monday yet, but I don't want to find out I was so tired from being woken up in the middle of the night several times for various reasons. And then have to rush to get some errands done and find I wont get myself to post because it's seems to be discouraging to be in mid-afternoon and I got a big to do list and haven't even started on my blog.

I've decided to add doing a few minuets of walking everyday i don't do work to try and get my endurance up so I'll be adding that to my list. I've also decided to give each chain mail phase another point to try and encourage me more to do it. I've also decided to do a youtube video idea every monday so long as I have an idea.

Still Sewing

Hey guys. Yesterday went all right all things considered. I got Gaia Online Updates done. Brushing my teeth. I cleaned out my e-mail and took my shower. I wouldn't consider sewing done cause I didn't finish the bodice which might need to be recut, yet again. Although it's not tight, there's a part that's too loose, and that's a part covering up something important. I might be able to fix it though ad it'll change the look slightly. Or maybe I can tie it like a bodice for a extra sense of style.

Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it which will be rather soon. And considering I have less time today with my sister going to work 2 hours earlier then I do, I better put my list up.

Costume Is Nearly Done

Hey guys. So basically all that got done yesterday was the sewing. And that was pretty much on and off all day. I should have just read or something during the off periods. Oh well, can't change the past, only can do better next time. But because I was doing that on and off all day, it's already at least half way done. The base of my skirt is done, I just got to gypsy it up a bit and try and make sure it'll not fall down during the LARP. That's why I picked elastic but it seems I would have been better off with a drawstring. Maybe I'll put in a drawstring to secure it, I dunno. And I've cut the pieces for my sort of half bodice thing. I found my belly dance/gypsy patterns and started to get to work. But because the LARP starts Friday I'll be spending some of the rest of the week finishing it. And I actually have work all week before the LARP.

I've also started to teach myself (along with some very helpful youtube videos) how to make chain mail. Nothing to make any check marks, just trying to get into the habit of doing it and knowing how to do it.

I've also decided to give myself a deadline of either finish the summer cleaning by the end of the month or drop it. Cause it's beginning to get ridiculous. I start on it, but it never amounts to more then just cleaning.

I don't think I have much else to say. Pictures will be up soon of at least my costume's base.

Nothing Done!

Hey guys. I didn't get anything done yesterday. By the time I finally got myself to get up off my butt that's when my boyfriend opened up talk to flirt with me. Unfortunately I don't want to do much during the day cause my room is the hottest room in the house. Someone online suggested getting a couple more box fans in my room, but I'm worried I'll blow the power on a daily basis enough as it is.

I knew I was forgetting something yesterday, I should have started doing Japanese stuff yesterday as part of my new schedule. I'll put it in an edit of yesterday's post so I don't forget next week. In addition to my LARP songs I'll also soon be putting up my ugly sounding vocal project and making a couple projects of fandub songs.

LARP Next Weekend

Hey guys. Wednesday went ok before work. I read my reading book and did some art. I'm not at all happy with the way it turned out though. Next weekend is a L.ive A.ction R.ole P.laying event I'll be going to. I got a few things I need to do before I go. 1) I got to fix my staff. It failed inspection but I'll be fixing it soon. 2) Make a new costume, black is NOT gypsy and not cool for Summer. 3) Work on my Romanian accent. 4) I got to help my sister with her weapon and costume.

I better get to my list. I got a few errands to run today.

Hey guys. Yesterday was pretty good.

What got done: Gaia Online, Webcomic Writing, Reading Book, World of Warcraft Emblem 1/2 Leveling, Summer Cleaning Phase 6, Clean Out E-mail, Shower.

What didn't get done: Writing, Europe DVD, Summer Cleaning Phases 1-5&7-9, Chain Mail, Belly Dance DVD, Brush Teeth.

I think it's a good pick up from where I was.

Summer Cleaning Phase 6: Things I've Decided.
#1 Remove weekend violin practice, until I get lessons.
#2 Do Japanese Stuff Fridays.
#3 Keep same book page goal, when I have a library book, I'll do both.
#4 Reread the beginning of Violin For Dummies.
#5 Memorize songs for LARP Saturdays.
#6 Add Writing: Play and Writing:Script
#7 Change writing to Writing: Book.
#8 Reread pagan book.
#9 Although you wont see it here, I'll be breaking down making chain mail into 6 30 min pieces at 2 points each.

I got up at a decent time, but I still didn't get done with my errands till the evening. I had to go to my old high school for a transcript, my college for a notification, went to the library to reserve a book, ended up going to the bank so my sister can activate her ATM card, and stopped in Hot Topic for the extra 10 points on the HT +1 card, and went to Delicious Orchards for peaches and tarts, but unfortunately, not Apple Cider. :(

Picking Up...My Room

Hey guys. Yesterday could have gone better, all I did yesterday was clean my room. :( But at least it's clean for summer cleaning phases and I finally got that new organizer on my desk. So now I have a place for my pay stubs, my college stuff, my vacation/con plans, and there's still plenty of open space I can creatively organize. I plan on stretching out the system by putting two categories in one space by dividing them with one being in a binder. I might be going to Six Flags today to find out my schedule and have some fun. But I kind of feel like I don't deserve it. :( I'll try and get as much done before I go.

Still Very Very Lazy

Hey guys. Still been lazy and not doing anything. Even thought to myself yesterday that I should have brought my book for while my sister was taking her written driving test. Hopefully my healthier breakfast will give me a healthy energy boost to actually get something done. Chicken sausage, oatmeal, banana, and apple cider. Sounds like there'd be a lot of energy boost in that.

Weekend Off

Hey guys. Posting late cause I forgot to post before I left for work. Which I realized after I was sitting around bored, I should have done it and brought my reading book so I wasn't so dang bored and I could get something done. Oh well, next time I'll try and remember it.

I didn't get anything done yesterday, not even my room which REALLY needs done. I thought I could even stay up late and do it when I get home, but my computer area was torn apart last night and needed to be at least put somewhat back together. But I am going to try and do it off schedule tonight because it REALLY needs to get done if I am going to do that summer cleaning.

I'm also going to be trying to get some of my to sell on ebay stuff on the internet. Including finally going through the comic books to determine which to keep and read and which to sell. How and if I am going to get this all done tonight is beyond me since I am infact tired from work. I'm just more tired of not getting stuff done.

Still Lazy Have Work Today

Hey guys. Yesterday wasn't just a good day to get things done. All that got done was the Gaia Online stuff. I spent the entire day either playing facebook apps, cleaning for chores, or spending the day with my friend Risa. And I got a full time shift today. Wish I had more of that rather then an 18 hour work week. :( Oh well, what can you do? The worse part is that it'll be the same next week. But maybe that'll give me time to get some things done.

Errands Yesterday

Hey guys. Yesterday a majority of the day was spent doing errands. Like 8-9 hours worth. My sister and friends went to see Avatar. I stood my ground in my boycott about pretty much barring Asian Americans from being the heroes. INSULT TO MAKO'S MEMORY!! So nothing managed to get done.

Surprise Movie Review Today

Hey guys. Didn't get much done yesterday, infact, all that got done was Gaia Online stuff. But I do have a review today that I wasn't expecting. Infact, I realized towards the end of the movie, shoot, now I got to do a review tomorrow.




















I was skeptical about this movie. Although Greek Mythology is not hard to mess up, it's been done, and just because it's hard to mess up doesn't mean they don't. But I was pleasantly surprised and pleased about this movie. It even used things I was not 100% familiar with. Some of which I've heard of before, one of which I haven't. I've never heard of the Lotus Eaters before. Sounds like something more from Eastern Asian mythology rather then Greek. I thought they were sirens using potioned-up cookies. You can tell Fox put a lot of study from the books, a lot of thought, and a lot of effort as well as money into this movie. I get the impression that they wanted this to be their Harry Potter for their company, but they knew it'd be hard work and they did it. Although I've never read these books. Nor have I heard of them before the movie came out in theaters.

Breaking down this movie review into the movie's three acts. Warning, may contain spoilers. Act 1 has the same feel as if anyone who's read the first Harry Potter book can feel. Not to say it's ripping it off, it's simply logical to what's going on. A boy, Percy Jackson goes through life knowing he's odd, not knowing why, or besides his ability to breath underwater, how. He believes he's dyslexic with ADHD. At some point it shows that English words are trying to be re-scrabbled for ancient Greek. His mother put up with a abusive misogynist saying he does something for them that he couldn't understand. Act I, though this could be debated, one could say Act I ends when Hades shows up, ends with it's first fight scene, throwing Percy into the plot head on. As well as a slight nod to where the author decide to name his hero Percy.

Act II gives us the satisfaction of the misogynist getting beat up a bit before they head on to the rest of the story. My gut tells me the author got the name Camp Half-Blood from Harry Potter but with a different meaning behind those words. Again, not ripping Harry Potter off, probably struggled for a title, and it suited since it's a camp full of Demi Gods. Percy gets introduced to some vital characters, one a daughter of Athena and another a son of Hermes. He also gets a bit of training and a nod to a power from water that proves useful later. Although, once he goes on his quest, there is a sudden jump, but a logical one to make. The quest is that Percy must get his mother back from Hades' Underworld. Which, quick note, there are 3 inaccuracies in Hades, one slightly annoying, one glaringly annoying, and another glaringly annoying.

#1 Despite popular belief, Hades' Underworld is NOT fire and brim stone. Actually, it's more described like a damp dark cave where the warmth of the sun can never reach.

#2 Hades was never mean or cruel to Persephone, quite the contrary, he did everything in his power to try and make her happy with him. Persephone even secretly liked his eagerness to please her, but hated being underground.

#3 Hades, to my knowledge, like pretty much every other god, has never ever ever gone back on his word.

That being said, I do love how Hades' looked like a rocker.

Act II is almost completely bulk the quest for Presephone's pearls which brings a person back from the Underworld, she has them for visitors. One from Medusa, another from a museum and they have to ward off a Hydra. Another slightly annoying thing, the Hydra was a beast of Poseidon's, gods rarely used things created by each other if EVER. And the last from the lotus eaters. Which the Hydra and the Lotus bothers me and my family. The Hydra, someone would notice it being there. The Lotus Eatters, #1 Police didn't come when they were fighting the staff, #2 why was the key in the glove compartment and the car worked? But it was just a slight annoyance where there are loose ends of the story. Who knows, maybe in the book, the stone Hydra broke and disappeared into dust, or something.

After that, Act II had two major events before the Act III also known as the resolution. The trip down to the Underworld, and a fight with the actual Lightning Thief. I'm going to purposefully stop the review there to keep from spoilers. Act III ended with Percy and the other girl (sorry, I can't remember names right now) getting a brief moment with their godly parents and returns to Camp Half-Blood.

Overall I rate the acting between above above average to great depending on the cast. The effects, amazing. The story, despite a few holes and inaccuracies, it did remain mostly accurate enough to tell that the author knew Greek Mythology very well. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes this type of movie.
