The Great Posting Hiatus

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been updating, my life has been more or less a whirlpool, not the least of which my sleep schedule is completely messed up. I haven't even been a good little anti-procrastinator, I haven't even finished those two books to put up for review and they're probably overdue. Just haven't been feeling like reading at work. I guess I'll just have to make myself do it.

Anyway, I'm not doing so well. I've been kinda in a whirlwind after the month began of a wrecked sleep schedule, trying to maintain a life, trying to have as many shifts as possible, starting to make stuff for my etsy shop, etc. And the worst part is, I'm pretty damned broke until Black Friday!

So basically, I'm in desperate need of a way to have some quick cash. I am scared I'll fall behind on my bills, things will start becoming a wreck, etc. I'd consider doing the flea market again but it never pans out. I don't think I'll see immediate return on my etsy shop. (Hopefully I'll be wrong.) I am meant to be cleaning for family coming in so Labor Ready isn't an option right now. Basically if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear it.

Holy blue balls my room is cold!! ...32 outside, yeah I'm going to need to get/make heavy curtains and do whatever I can to warm it up in here.

I'll be getting around to that list soon, I just decided that since my sleep schedule was messed up anyway, I might as well make it productive.

Dash Dash Dash

Hey guys, Yesterday didn't go well, absolutely nothing got done. So needless to say I need to make a mad dash in these next two hours to get ready and clean.

I best make this quick. I know a lot of people have a prejudice against self help books. Build Your Dreams combine things I've read in so many other books about procrastination, time management, and finances, but still gives a lot of unique and helpful advice and even have some resources for one to look up. My personal favorite part of the book dealt in finances. Dealing both with saving money and coming up with it. The second to last chapter is even one on when you let your business plan go. Personally, I'd like to own this book for on hand information, but is still a solid take out at your library.

Burning Bright Review

Hey guys. Yesterday once again didn't go so well. All that got done was reading the Library Books. Speaking of which...

If I to describe this book with super hero style alliteration, this book brings us BLOODY BRILLIANCE! Burning Bright by Tracy Chevalier who wrote Girl With a Pearl Earring (note to self, must read) is a captivating tale about a family who moves to London after a tragedy hit their family. The Kellaways are present in London as news about the French Revolution (of the late 18th century, and yes, I'm sure I have to specify) but surprisingly, this is more of a backdrop of the story. At least this is how I felt about it. I was far too much engrossed in the lives of the characters presented in this book. Which I find is a wonderful thing since I believe a story is about how the characters get through it. Although the Kellaways, made up of Thomas and Anne and their children Jem and Maisie (and yes, I did have a bit of a giggle with myself that my LARP character shares her name), have little to no connection with this plot. Infact, there's little to no mention except in the beginning and ending. There's far more time and connection spent with their relations with Maggie Butterfield and the Astleys. I wont go into the specifics of each relations and how it grows and comes about, quite simply, I implore you go buy the book yourself. I plan on getting it soon as well. It's a great story where you slowly and sneakily get attached to the characters and invested into both a physical climax and emotional one. I honestly didn't want to put this one down. So go out and get a copy already!

I'll be having another book review up tomorrow, and then I'll probably have a review of the new Thor movie the next day. But I'm not allowing myself to see the movie until my room is clean, so I best get to work.

Thor's Out

Hey guys. Yesterday didn't go so well with unsurprisingly only the library books got done. But on the bright side, I'm almost finished with one of them so the review should be up tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, I may or may not be seeing Thor 2. I've decided it all hinges on whether or not I clean my room to make myself do it this weekend.

I may or may not also be looking around my room and the web for other sources of money since felt is roughly 3x more expensive than I thought it was. And I'm lining all my winter LARP stuff in felt. Why? Cause despite it being more expensive than I thought (not taking into consideration it's also 2-3 times higher than other fabric) it's still a cheap and efficient way of keeping warm when it could be in the single digits.

Bedroom Tornado

Hey guys. With the LARP, my new job, and having a nasty cold, I have been either running around like crazy or lazing about. So needless to say, my room resembles something that looks like a disaster just happened. Hopefully I'll be able to get myself to get these things done soon. My job is now not that new and I should be learning to do stuff around it now. But maybe I'm being to hard on myself, my job does allow me to get my reading done. So I'm allowing my reward point to reflect that.

I honestly don't have that much interesting to say, I just really should get started on my room.
