Hey guys. Well yesterday could have gone better.

What got done: Library Book 1-4, Curls, German, Go To Store.

Part of the reason for this is that I didn't want to check off the office drawer from my fall cleaning list until I can figure out if I can replace my current drawer or not. Hopefully I can find one at the flea market this weekend.

Anyway I'm posting early because it's currently 3:30 and I don't think I'm going to really get anything else off today's list done so I'm going to start a new day. Mostly this is so I can put cleaning my room on the list since I'm currently feeling a bit claustrophobic since I had to shift things around me to get things done. Not that this matter much anyway cause some of these things requires smaller/larger bins to hold said things and properly organize them and I can't get to that till at least the dollar store opens.

Making Friends

Hey guys. Well yesterday went well.

How to Start a Conversations and Make Friends was an, interesting read. By no means is this a completely useless book. It's got some neat information about what type of conversationalist you are, multicultural notes, and networking advice. But honestly, if you're not completely clueless, chances are this book isn't going to tell you anything new. If you have no clue what you're doing or the basics of socializing, this is a great book for you.

Hey guys. Yesterdays sales could have gone far better. It was a real $0.50 crowd. If it wasn't $0.50 they weren't interested. I'm sorry I charge the same if not less as Good Will. I'm sorry, this also isn't 1980 (Inflation).

On the bright side, I did make profit, and it forced me to get quite a bit done.

Getting Close to Fall

Hey guys. Well yesterday could have gone better. Since I barely had any sleep, I went to bed early last night.

Job Interview Day

Hey guys. Well, yesterday went fairly well, I would have liked to have more done, but what can you do?

I really got to do something about the things I need to do after my parents have gone to bed. My sister started her 5 weeks in Europe yesterday with her plane to Paris so my parents naturally stayed up to wait for her message that she had arrived in Paris messing up that i was going to do the Step Aerobics and Belly Dance DVD after they went to bed.

Incase you were wondering about my blog title, I had a job interview today, hopefully I get it. I purposefully left the blog to do until now in the unlikely event I got hired on the spot. But we'll see if I get a call back. If I do get the job, it's not really going to give me all the hours I'd need but at least it's something.

Creepypasta Addiction

Hey guys. You might have noticed I haven't been posting recently. The main reason for that is because I got addicted to creepypastas. For those who don't know, creepypastas are modern ghost stories or urban legend shared on the internet. Due to me spending all my time listening to them, I also have the side effect where images of some of my favorite creepypastas wont let me sleep unless things like my family is still up or the sun is up. If anyone's wondering some of my favorites/recommendations include: Squidward's Suicide, Suicide Mouse, Abandoned By Disney, King of the Hill Lost Episode, Maria's Revenge, I Hate You.


I did spend Friday putting in job applications though, and yesterday I saw my baby cousin for the first time. He's now just over a year old.

Realization: Why One Might Fear Meditation

Hey guys. Well, a good amount has gotten done. And I'm glad since this is up from the last few days.

Though you might be more curious over the title of this blog post. Yes, I came to a realization while reading a book on meditation which is one of the books I picked up from the library. Though it gave me the idea, something else made me realize it a bit more clearly. Specifically the webcomic Dominic Deegan.

 

Now, you might be wondering why this silly webcomic helped me realize why people might be afraid of meditation. Simply put, part of meditation is the act of going into ones mind. Which can sometimes feel chaotic and dangerous to us.

Of course, the mind isn't always pretty. Some people have things inside of them they don't want to face. They feel that they can't. Sometimes these things are too scarring as it is. Sometimes these things feel overwhelming. But ultimately, but "shutting your eyes"&mind from it, it doesn't solve the problem now does it?

Sometimes, it's not as obvious as facing an unpleasant truth. Some people have a fear of what they might find or unlock with meditation. Fear of change (and occasionally a fear of success) would be something that could cause this fear of meditation. But do you really want you potential to be forever in the dark simply because you fear the new you maybe someone you wont like? (Which is nothing a little bit of self-re-examining can't fix?)

Sometimes it's also a fear of an unpleasant truth about oneself that one would rather not admit. Something someone is afraid they can't just fix. Which of course couldn't be further from the truth. Even if you need someone else to help you through your problems, meditation can tell you it's there in the first place. And you know what they say, admitting you have a problem is the first step into solving that problem.

As you might have guessed from the list of what got done yesterday, I can finally put up the review of that book I've been reading.

So here's A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk ; How to Work with the Elemental World. Oh my goodness do I love this book. This book is great for meditative techniques, finding a way to the fae realm, warding off fae who are unwelcomed, and learning about the fae. And I suppose you're wondering why I keep saying the fae rather than faeries? Simply, he's quite expansive in what he considers a faerie that he seems to just look at the most of the fae family rather than the niche of faeries. Though that isn't a bad thing since they share a realm and it's probably best. Though it's especially good since he includes at the back and entire list of fae, their traits, origins, stories/personalities. Overall, this book is a must have for witches who like learning about the fae (a still good book for all other witches), a must have for those who could use a reference for writing fantastical fiction, and a good to have for those who want to learn more about the religion.

I'm going to have to remove Ballet DVD for a while because I discovered last time that my DVD is missing. So I'll either need to find a new one I like or get another copy.

Nothing

Hey guys. Well, yesterday was a total bust. Absolutely nothing got done. Nothing at all. I suppose it's my fault for procrastinating by playing minecraft too much.

At least a couple days ago I got my list for the Fall Cleaning Phases, so that's something else done. I just have to figure out the dang reward system for it.

I was honestly just trying to think of some space filler. I got nothing and I should be getting ready to go to the store.

Kickstarter Canceled

Hey guys. Well yesterday didn't go over so well.

What got done: Library Book 1-4, Clean Kitchen.

Yeah, I should have known that my mom was going to have me do that after I got up.

As you might have guessed from my title, I've decided to cancel my Kickstarter. Anyone who follows my blog might have noticed that I've only had $1 on it for days. I couldn't even keep up with it like I wanted. But ultimately, I felt like unless I was already established, I'd never make it to goal.

Being Sunday reminded me that hopefully I'll be putting Clean Out Car back on the list soon. My dad had the car towed to his friends shop so hopefully it'll be fixed and I'll be driving again soon. I hate not being able to get around!

Burn Out

Hey guys. Yeah, I've been feeling a little burned out lately. At least, that's what I think is going on. All I think about lately is taking some time off, what I'd like to do.

I had a dream last night that me and my sister were invited to some sort of super secret place every week to present our creative works, with minimum they expect. My sister has no problem getting something out, me on the other hand, I was late to leave with only 2 pages of story to show for being late. The next time, I was ready, with only 2 pages, meanwhile, I was jealous that my sister was wearing a cool outfit and thought I should dress up too. I was unprepared and I was trying to come up with an outfit to go with my corset, and for some reason a blue 1920's ruffled nightgown like dress showed up. That last part was weird, but otherwise I suppose my subconscious is telling em I'm not paying enough attention to these things that are important to me. Hopefully, I can change that.

New Books

Hey guys. Once again I am posting late because of my late to bed late to rise habit.Which is probably only going to be made worse if my British friend continues to come online.

What got done yesterday: Pagan Book, Reading Book, Curls, Step Aerobics, German, Bathroom, Shower.

So I didn't even get as much done as I would have liked. I'm not entirely sure why but I've been feeling exhausted lately.

As you might have guessed from my title, I got some more library books today since the others were due. Although I only got 1 book on business this time and another is a graphic novel of the popular book The Last Unicorn. Originally I was going to get the full book, but I wrote down the graphic novel instead, so I shrugged and thought, why not?




Well, hopefully today's a little better, I got too much that needs done for it not to be.

Oh! Before I forget, if I actually get Pagan Book done tonight, I'll be posting the review up here tomorrow.

Happy Labor Day

Hey guys. Early post just cause.....I stayed up all night cause I'm going through the damned articles on ehow for making extra income. Here's a little note, if the article tells you to Be Creative, they weren't very creative in writing it and chances are theses are things you already knew! Anyway, it was a decent day to get things done...would have gone better if I didn't spend so much time working on the articles. Sorry, but I spent at least 2 hours on it and I'm not even half way done. So much fluff...So much fluff!

The last book on my list from the library is Marketing for the Self-employed. This book is....alright. It's more of an advice book masquerading as a how-to business book. It's a fairly big book for what it is. It's not a complete waste of time, But you'll probably be better off if someone else can list off all the advice the book gives you.

4th Year Anniversary

Hey guys. Well as expected, nothing got done yesterday. What's worse is that I didn't even end up at the movies partly due to the fact that the theater I was looking at wasn't showing it anymore. (Which is weird cause it's barely been out.) So I don't even have a review for you today. Which I feel terrible because today marks the 4th year anniversary of when I started this blog, and I got nothing to do for it.

But I suppose looking back, I'm really glad I started doing this, especially seeing how bad I got about getting things done in New Hampshire. I feel like if it weren't for the chaos there and not keeping up with things, I'd be better off than I am now. But that being said, I am better off now than I was before I had started taking care of my procrastination habit. Half the stuff I am trying to do would only be a pipe dream because I gave myself no means to work through them. I might still be in school and getting more and more debt because I wasn't doing well. I would have the plans for a company (that still needs funding) or planning out my next convention season, or have my Etsy shop at all (although I need to get back to work making and promoting stuff). As disappointed as I am that I haven't meet certain goals yet, I'm not fluent in Japanese yet, I'm not a published fiction author yet, I don't have nearly as many finished sewing projects yet, I haven't finished a script to even think about production yet. But that's the thing, yet... I am only 24 years old, and I am giving myself the tools to achieve these things. Hopefully the next 4 years, fair a little better, and I achieve some of my own life goals.
